I've worked extensively with trauma survivors to help them find healing from their past, and to begin creating a life worth living for themselves in the present. I became a therapist because I wanted to work with clients who had experienced trauma, and while I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ clients, I have worked successfully with clients from numerous backgrounds. I've trained extensively in different therapeutic techniques to provide the most effective care for my clients, and am trained in EMDR therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, and Psychodrama. I have a passion for my work, and strive to stay current on the latest practices in my field. My experience as part of the LGBTQ+ community and my knowledge of the unique challenges faced by members of the community helps me provide competent and knowledgeable care to my LGBTQ+ clients.

I value and honor the complex ways in which each person engages with the world by collaborating with clients to create an open, safe, and non-judgmental space, prioritizing clients’ autonomy throughout the therapeutic process. As a queer-identified practitioner, I bring personal and professional experience to creating an affirming space, regardless of whether gender and/or sexuality are central issues in your current therapeutic needs. I'm experienced in working with folks experiencing anxiety, depression, mood variations, and the multitude of responses that can result from trauma. I view therapy as a collaborative space and enjoy co-learning with clients. I practice a compassion-focused, client-centered, trauma-informed therapeutic approach and use the tools and training I have to tend to the individual needs of my clients. Additionally, I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) theory into my therapy practice.

I am on maternity leave until April 1st, and I will be open to taking new clients at that time. My goal is to provide ethical, identity affirming, evidence based care for people looking to better their life and improve their mental health. I thoroughly believe that clients are the experts in their own experience and in what they need in order to be well. My therapy style is one that is collaborative, and person-centered. My approach is influenced by training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Parts Work, Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples (EFT), Somatic Experiencing, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I feel so honored to get to be a therapist and walk alongside clients as they process their life experiences and grow their insight into doing what works best for them.

My approach to therapy and evaluations is individualized based on my clients' needs and personal background and goals. My therapy approach utilizes cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal & existential modalities, adapted specifically for my clients. I incorporate positive psychology elements by being client-centered, non-judgmental, & utilizing clients' strengths in developing goals & a plan for treatment. I help clients gain insight into the nature of their difficulties, while creating a plan for progress and improved functioning. I prefer to work with adolescent & adult clients individually. I specialize in individual therapy, psychological evaluations, and consultation services. Often people avoid therapy because they are worried about being judged, criticized, or misunderstood. I feel confident that you will find me to be a genuinely accepting, understanding, and caring person. I use a supportive approach to help client's strive for the changes they want to achieve.

I am a clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of anxiety disorders and related issues. I focus on cognitive-behavioral therapy to address worry, stress, and anxiety. I have specialized training in evidence based treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder, body focused repetitive behaviors (trichotillomania - hair pulling - and skin picking/lip chewing), panic disorders, phobias, social anxiety and generalized worries. I also treat depression and adjustment concerns. I work with children, adolescents and adults. I am a member of PSYPACT, an interstate compact designed to facilitate the practice of telepsychology. I completed the International Obsessive Compulsive Foundation Behavior Therapy Institute, TLC Foundation for Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors Professional Training Institute, UPenn anxiety treatment trainings, observership at Mayo Clinic intensive ERP OCD treatment program, specialized training in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), UPenn CBT-I training. It is important to partner with clients to determine the best course of treatment. Evidenced-based treatment strategies are backed by research but therapy should never be one-size-fits-all. I work with each client to find the most effective strategies to assist that individual in meeting their goals.

Hey, you made it! Be proud of yourself for taking this step to being a different you. I'd be honored to join in as you navigate through life’s challenges. We can challenge together troubling thought patterns that vex you; anxiety that keeps you up at night, or coping skills that just aren't cutting it. Let’s process the loss you never got to face, trauma that keeps popping up, or talk about that break up that really messed you up last year. I can help you work toward gaining momentum, get back on track, or just get to know yourself better. I am here to witness your experience, but even more so I will be here to sit with you in it. I try to be as human as possible; authenticity is my brand. I believe humor is a great avenue for communication, but also a mask we hide behind. I aim to help clients learn to rely less on a mask and lean into who they truly are. I enjoy working with individuals going through life changes; typically gen Z and millennial aged clients. By looking at how our history and experiences have shaped us, I believe we can better understand ourselves, our beliefs, our emotional masks, and I believe we can create better outcomes for ourselves as a result. If you are ready to explore these things, I am ready to explore them with you and help you find your way to a healthier you.
